Our Treatments

Microneedling facial

Micro-needling, also known as ‘collagen-induction-therapy’ delivers controlled micro-injury to the skin using fine rows of needles. This injury provokes a healing response in the body, which stimulates production of new collagen and elastin through the fibroblast cells to help the skin repair itself. Your skin will destroy the old, damaged tissue and replace it with freshly produced collagen, rejuvenating and refreshing the skin, leaving the skin in better condition than it was before.

Micro-needling can be characterised through manual or mechanical methods. The Dermapen® is an automated, mechanical micro-needling device with a disposable tip cartridge that is made up of 12 micro-needles, which uses proprietary technology to penetrate vertically into the skin, for precision and less trauma in treatment. Micro-needling treats the following:

Acne Scarring

Micro-needling provides excellent results for the appearance of scars. This is because the perforation of the needles creates new collagen and elastin to be generated and deposited. The added benefit of new capillary growth improves blood supply to the area, creating healthier, rejuvenated skin. Micro-needling keeps the skin integrity in-tact while treating the area, to speed up the healing process and provide minimal discomfort.

New collagen growth and stimulation is effective for reducing and fading stretch marks, which micro-needling provides through Collagen Induction Therapy. The depth of the needles activates a cascade of fibroblast and growth hormones to generate more collagen and elastin, resulting in smooth and healthy skin. The skin thickens and becomes noticeably smoother which evens out the appearance of stretch marks.

Micro-needling is well known as Collagen Induction Therapy. This is through promoting new skin growth, by stimulating “new skin” via the wound healing process, boosting collagen and elastin.

Hyperpigmentation refers to the over stimulation of melanocytes and subsequent over-production of melanin within the epidermis. Micro-needling treatments work in ways to reverse the production of hyperpigmentation and melasma, to reverse visible signs of pigmentation and inhibit further production.

Dermaplaning luxury facial

Dermaplaning includes a surgical blade being used to whisk away dead skin cells and vellus hair which can lead to your skin feeling dull and lifeless. The treatment will reduce skin congestion and leave the skin instantly smoother and brighter. The act of removing the top layer of dead skin cells means that the products you apply after have a much higher absorption rate, making the products more effective which makes it the perfect addition to other facial modalities. Dermaplaning will also encourage skin cell turnover and regeneration, helping the skin to appear more youthful!

Fact or myth? ‘Dermaplaning causes your hair to grow back thicker and darker’.

Myth! Vellus hairs are fine and soft downy hairs that do not taper in thickness or grow back prickly. However, if you have terminal hairs (such as around the upper lip and chin), we may opt for tweezing or waxing these areas instead of dermaplaning. Terminal hairs are more of a cone-shape, meaning they will feel prickly and may appear thicker due to the blunt-cut of the hair. The best method of removal for terminal hair is to remove the hair from its follicle, rather than dermaplaning so that the hair grows back in a tapered fashion the same as before.

The facial includes Clinicare cleanser, exfoliant, 10 minutes of ‘high frequency’, a facial mask and finishing products.

A stand along eyelash or eyebrow tint, or a brow wax on its own is also available.

Oxyfusion facial

Our ‘OxyFusion’ Facial boosts oxygen levels in the skin using a high-frequency electrode, followed by a carboxytherapy-activated gel. The high-frequency electrode has anti-microbial properties, the mild current stimulation helps to dilate the capillaries, flush toxins, and enrich the cells with nutrients and hydration, boosting the blood circulation and cell metabolism to support increased levels of collagen and elastin, while carboxytherapy minimizes fine lines, evens skin tone, and enhances elasticity (tightens the skin) through enriching the skin with high levels of oxygen. This treatment is the ultimate way to achieve revitalized, radiant, and healthy-looking skin. Complete with exfoliant and finishing products.

What is high frequency?

High frequency consists of an argon-filled glass electrode and oxygenating cream. The electrode will make a mild-buzzing sound and when applied to the skin, a mild current will pass through to produce healing electrical light energy and unstable oxygen, the sensation is mild tissue warming. The unstable oxygen instantly converts into purifying ozone to infuse the skin with rejuvenating oxygen rich molecules. It is designed to boost blood circulation to aid in cell renewal and collagen and elastin production and eliminate bacteria under the skin. It helps supply nutrients to the tissues, treat and prevent acne and shrink enlarged pores. Oxygen levels provide rejuvenation of the cells giving the skin a younger, healthier glow. Skin will feel instantly smoother and revitalised after one treatment, and will continue to increase oxygen levels, improve texture, tone, and glow.

By infusing carbon dioxide into the skin, an acidic environment develops. This signals our organism to secure oxygen to the tissue in the treated region and accumulate natural growth factors (vascular endothelial growth factors). Within several days after the treatment there is an increased natural distribution of oxygen in the places of application, a completely new microcirculation is created, lymphoid drainage is increased and in this way skin regeneration is achieved in a natural way. This encourages cell regeneration, elastin stimulation, reduction of dark under-eye circles, improvement in circulation, and improved lymphatic drainage. Overall, a tighter, brighter and glowing skin appearance!

Dermalux LED Add-on

Dermalux LED therapy is an innovative light technology treatment, available as an add-on to any service. They have been the forefront for non-invasive energy treatments since 2012 and are recognised as the industry leading and trusted brand for LED phototherapy, it is currently the only LED device that is medically certified in the treatment of psoriasis.

LED is the application of therapeutic light energy to stimulate or regulate specific biological processes with proven skin enhancing effects, such as hydration, calmed redness and irritation and blitzing blemish causing bacteria, it is through a process called ‘photo biomodulation’. The wavelengths are clinically proven for optimum chromophore absorption, to be absorbed by key skin receptors that trigger a transfer of light energy to cellular energy, fuelling repair. The skin cells are energised and renew up to 200% faster to promote youthful, healthy, and radiant skin. It is safe and suitable for all skin types, perfect to be added on to any other skin treatment to enhance the effects that continue even after you leave the clinic! Frequently asked questions

What is required pre-session?

For all eye treatments a patch test is required 48 hours prior to the treatment to ensure there is no positive allergic reaction.

  • Please discontinue any use of acids, retinols, or exfoliating agents 72 hours prior. These agents can thin the skin and lead to grazing.
  • Please try to avoid makeup or creams prior to the treatment.
  • Please try to avoid shaping your own brows. When we laminate them, this means they will be lay flat against your skin, if you have taken to chopping the hairs flat, this will not give the fluffy effect.
  • Do not touch or rub the area you have had treated.
  • If redness or irritation occurs, apply a cool damp cotton compress to the eye area. If symptoms persist for more than 24 hours seek medical advice.
  • Do not receive any other eye treatments for at least 24 hours after the lash or brow tinting treatment.
  • Try to use oil-free facial products around the eye area to preserve the tint.
  • Avoid exercise and heat treatments, including hot baths, saunas, swimming, etc. As the follicle is open, sweat and heat can lead to irritation or infection of the area.
  • If you are using exfoliating agents, discontinue use for 72 hours post-treatment.
  • Avoid all tanning and UV exposure for at least 72 hours including sunbeds and self-tan. For deeper skin tones, there is a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation after the skin has undergone some form of trauma, which can be triggered by UV exposure. Make sure to protect the skin and use an SPF every day.
  • Do not wear makeup for 12 hours.
  • Don’t get your lashes wet for the first 48 hours. Avoid steam, saunas, and swimming. It’s also worth avoiding the gym or heavy exercise for the first 24 hours. After 48 hours, your lashes will be set into place and normal activity can resume.
  • Avoid strong sunlight or UV light for the first 24 hours. If you would like to top up your tint, you can after 3-4 weeks.
  • Avoid touching or rubbing the eye area.
  • After your treatment, avoid sleeping on your front or side, so your lashes don’t get disturbed whilst they set in place.
  • Avoid oil-based makeup remover.
